TallyGenicom Q&A

How do I resolve a false "Paper Out" error on a T6312?

Explanation: The printer's paper out sensor needs to be calibrated to properly detect paper in and paper out conditions.

Solution: First, press and hold the LF and Enter keys until "Tech Access ON" is displayed. Then, press the Menu key and scroll down until you see "Test." If you get a message saying "Menu Locked" when pressing the Menu key, press and hold the Menu and Enter keys until "Menu Unlocked" displays. Press Enter at the Test menu, scroll down until you see "Diagnostics," press Enter, scroll down until you see "Cal-Paper," and press Enter. Remove paper from the printer and press Enter. Then, load paper and press Enter. The sensor should now be calibrated. Be sure to press and hold the LF and Enter keys until you see "Tech Access OFF." If you still get a false "Paper Out" condition, make sure nothing is obstructing the paper out sensor, located in the throat of the printer. If that doesn't fix it, replace the logic board.
